Our overseas programmes enable participants aged 17-24 and staff volunteers aged 25+
from all over the world and from all backgrounds to undertake a unique blend of
mental and physical challenges.
More about Raleigh International; The programme consists of three distinct project
phases - sustainable community and environmental projects plus an adventure phase. A
full programme lasts 10 weeks however we also offer 4 and 7 week options for
participants looking to volunteer this Autumn (2006) and Spring 2007. From Summer
2007 we will be replacing our 4 and 7 week options with our new 5 week programme
which combines your choice of either a community or environmental project and a
team-based adventure challenge. Staff volunteers can choose from two programmes
lengths. The length of the programme for staff members includes 2 - 3 weeks in
country training. For a 10 week programme, staff will be asked to commit to 13 weeks
and for the 5 week programme, 7 weeks. Destinations include Costa Rica & Nicaragua,
Ghana, Namibia and Malaysia (Borneo).
