Highlights

-Supervised by Consultants on Tropical Medicine from Germany and Africa

- Individual bedside teaching on-site, laboratory manuals and powerpoint presentations in English

 -Two weeks round-trip to various hospitals and out-patient clinics in Uganda or Kenya Scientific excursions to various National Parks (e.g. Antilopes: reservoir in African Trypanosomiasis) and Rain Forests (e.g. Breeding site of simulium fly:  Onchocerciasis)

 -Visits to the 'Flying Doctors' (AMREF) and Joint Clinical Research Center (JCRC), where new HIV vaccine trials are carried out

 -A certificate (50 contact hours on applied Clinical Tropical Medicine & Travellers' Health) is given by accredited authorities from Germany on completion of the course
